Well, currently it’s neither of these but this building used to house Dominican friars, Japanese Imperial Army and served as a hotel. By the end of the twentieth century the place was abandoned and looted. Currently not much has changed in that regard, it’s still for the most part abandoned but there’s not much left for looters. After having been declared a historic site its main goal is to preserve heritage and promote tourism. It is also a popular spot for photography, filming and similar activities.
